Ian Nicholas

After completing my bachelor’s degree at Waikato University I started working in a chartered accounting firm in Northland in the mid nineties.  My family & I moved to Taranaki in 1999.  I became a director (partner) in Everest Vincent in 2005. A Chartered Accountant,  I am also a Xero Certified Advisor and so can help clients with their online needs.

My interests include surfing, running and swimming.

Anthony Vincent

I have been a director in the firm since 1999 and am a  chartered accountant.  I am married with a son and a daughter and my spare time is mostly spent supporting the kids with their sporting interests and hobbies.
 

For fitness I enjoy walking. Since entering my first half marathon in 2009 I have completed many events including the 100km Oxfam Trail Blazer in 2011 (25 1/2 hours). Cricket is my favourite sport and while I played it for a number of years I now enjoy watching it and following the kids’ cricket.
 

I’m involved in a number of community groups including serving on the Cancer Society and NPOB Cricket Club committees, FDMC Board of Trustees and Seniorcare committee. I also chair the finance committees for Cancer Society -Taranaki Centre and Cancer Society - Central Districts Division. 

John Angell

I have been a chartered accountant for 20 years, most of this as a director of a New Plymouth practice.  I joined Everest Vincent in 2010 and enjoy working with a wide range of businesses. 

My wife and I have lived in New Plymouth for 25 years and have three adult daughters, all of whom live out of Taranaki. Family is our number one priority and beyond that I enjoy running, gardening and watching most sports.

Jane Williams

My role in reception is varied from answering the phone to processing GST & PAYE returns for clients.
I also prepare Financial Statements  and have worked in the accounting industry since leaving school, mostly working along side Anthony.

Family plays a large part in my life. I am married with a son and  daughter both at primary school. In my spare time (what spare time) I enjoy bike riding, walking, gardening and watching the children playing rugby, surfing, netball, dancing and trail bike riding.

Helen Brechin

I started working in a Chartered Accountants office in Stratford in 1997 before moving to the firm in 2005.  I completed the New Zealand Diploma in Business aqnd Diploma in Accounting in 2010 and graduated in 2011.  I am in my final year of becoming an Accounting Technician with NZICA.

My interests are Scottish Country Dancing, cross stitch and reading.

Daxa Desai

I moved to New Zealand in 2001 from Zimbabwe. I was in Auckland for a year before moving to New Plymouth.

I have been working in the Accounting Industry for the last 20 years and joined Everest Vincent in April 2006. I prepare financial statements, GST returns & income tax returns for a range of industries including rental properties, commercial & hospitality.

I am married with 2 children at university (hopefully one of them is following into Mum’s career). My interests are reading, gardening and being outdoors.

Chris Popata

I completed the NZ Diploma in Business Studies in 2002 before embarking on an accounting career.  I have been employed by Everest Vincent since 2006 and am well versed in their accounting systems.

I am married with two active kids and play tennis and badminton on a regular basis.

Dallis Barrett

I have worked in the accounting industry for over 20 years, both in corporate and chartered accountancy positions and have a Bachelor of Business Studies. I  have been contracting to Everest Vincent since 2000 and decided to join the inhouse team in 2011.    

I am married with two daughters. We live in a lifestyle block, which is home to some beefies, some old racehorses, and my daughters' ponies.  Most weekends see me out and about towing the float to various pony club events.

As a family, we enjoy a lot of sports (as couch potatoes) and especially enjoy thoroughbred racing.

 Diane O'Donnell 

I joined Everest Vincent in 2005 and was appointed the business manager in 2010. I have experience in administration having previously worked in a law firm for 10 years, the hospital for 6,  and also the Ministry of Justice.  

I also take care of the requirements at the Companies Office for our clients, including setting up and incorporating a company, changes to directorship and shareholdings, and annual returns. I prepare company documents  and other general administration work within the firm.

Married with three children, my interests include watching rugby, going to the beach and playing bridge.

Justin Conaglen

I am a Chartered Accountant who joined Everest Vincent in 2011.
I have a Bachelor of Business Studies from Massey University and over 20 years experience in the accounting industry. I have worked in both Australia and New Zealand.

I enjoy jogging, walking, cycling tennis and the gym.

Gary Fulton

I am married and have Senior Citizen Status with two married daughters and six grandchildren.

My experience has been generated from 16 years in banking, 18 years as a company accountant, financial controller, company secretary and general management roles, 6 years as an insurance agent in Life, Superannuation and Fire and General fields, and 10 years in chartered accountancy preparing returns for rentals, farming, trusts, Small and Medium business accounting.

I joined Everest Vincent in April 2009 and my outside interests are family, golf and fishing.

Sheryl McGuiness

I startered working for Everest Vincent in April 2011.  Previously I worked for the IRD for 17 years and then the last 11 years for local commercial businesses. I manage the tax system and am responsible for sending out all those nasty tax bills. I also backup the Receptionist.

I enjoy a variety of sports including running, walking, pilates and golf.
